Meet Jeff Farrar, a native of California and Oregon whose familial ties, fun fact, reach back to the 10th century, with a connection to Harald Bluetooth. Bluetooth was the king of Denmark and Norway in the late 10th century.

Proud owner of Forest Grove’s Ridgewalker Brewing (est. 2016), Jeff is happily married to his wife Hannah and is the proud father of three daughters. Besides brewing, he has a keen interest in film and acting.

A Viking Beer Fest advertisement caught his eye in 2022, and since then, he has been a valued festival committee member and infused our festivals with his passion for brewing and appreciation for Nordic culture. “Providing brews catered to the culture and volunteering at the festivals has been such an experience and privilege!”

If you haven’t seen him at Viking Beer Fest, Midsummer or ScanFair, you might have heard him enthusiastically shout and seen him battle on and off the Nordic Northwest Viking Ship in the Starlight Parade.

His Nordic dream destination? Definitely Norway.

When asked about working with Jeff, Nordic Northwest Development Director Shawn MacArthur gushes: “Jeff is a treasure in our community and is an amazing volunteer and friend – his hard work, enthusiasm, and intelligence is unmatched and cherished.”

We are excited to be welcoming Jeff this April to the Nordic Northwest Board of Directors.
