Woman at War: 

Halla is a 50-year-old environmental activist who crusades against the local aluminum industry in Iceland. As her actions grow bolder, her life changes in the blink of an eye when she is finally granted permission to adopt a girl from Ukraine.

About the Speaker:

Gabe Sheoships (Cayuse/Walla Walla) is the Executive Director at Friends of Tryon Creek where he leads efforts focused on the building of community, environmental stewardship, and the protection of natural ecosystems through an Indigenous relational perspective. He has worked for the past 20 years on behalf of the protection and restoration of Indigenous First Foods resources through a variety of fields.

There we will be a no host bar serving select Oregon wines and beers along with non-alcoholic beverages. We encourage people to bring snacks and food to enjoy during the film.
