In partnership with Finlandia Foundation Columbia Pacific Chapter, Portland Finnish School, Nordic Northwest invites you to this family Easter event.

Parents, grandparents, and friends come enjoy coffee and pastries while kids make Easter crafts and hunt for eggs! In good weather this event will be partly outside so bring your lawn chairs and/or blankets.

Tickets include an egg hunt, cultural crafts, Nordic baked goods, and of course, some strong coffee!

Easter in the Nordic countries is an exciting mix of flavors, history, and traditions. Besides celebrating the religious roots of the Christian feast, Easter is all about welcoming hope and the long-awaited spring after the dark and cold winter months.

For many, Easter also means a break from the hectic life in the middle of the spring. In Finland, Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays, and many families take the opportunity to spend the long weekend away. Surprisingly they often travel to northern Finland to see snow one last time before the summer.

Refunds: Tickets are non-refundable.

Parking: We encourage guests to use public transportation or ride-sharing services. Our 75-space parking lot is open on a first come, first-served, basis and limited street parking is available on SW 89th & 90th Avenues.

Accessibility: Nordia House has two accessible parking spots in our main lot facing SW Oleson Rd. Both the main entrance facing SW Oleson Rd. and our side entrance facing SW Taylors Ferry Rd. are wheelchair accessible. All restrooms have accessible stalls but no power doors. We will do our best to accommodate your needs upon arrival. Please call 503-977-0275 or email info@nordicnorthwest.org to arrange further assistance.
